Career Trackers Gala 2017

January 2017

SJB was delighted to have so many staff present at the 2017 annual CareerTrackers Gala held on the 2nd of February. Samantha Rich, starting at SJB June last year through the CT program received the coveted gold CareerTrackers diary for her outstanding academic achievement.

CareerTrackers is a national non-for-profit organisation that creates internship opportunities for Indigenous university students. Leveraging the 45-year legacy of the INROADS African-American internship program in the United States, CareerTrackers has adapted this model to address Indigenous disadvantage throughout Australia.

On receiving the coveted award, Samantha commented “it was a privilege to be a part of CT program, the advantage of professional and academic support networks amongst the aboriginal community is hugely beneficial as a university graduate.”

The annual CareerTrackers gala dinner was a truly fantastic evening and we are so honoured to be able to celebrate the achievements of the CT community. To read more visit: http://www.careertrackers.org.au/
