Greater Parramatta and the Olympic Peninsula

Last week, the Greater Sydney Commission publically launched the Strategic Vision for Greater Parramatta and the Olympic Peninsula, an area that stretches from Westmead, through Parramatta CBD, Camelia and Silverwater, to Sydney Olympic Park and up to Carlingford, with the Parramatta Light Rail as its central spine.

“GPOP will be Greater Sydney’s true centre - the connected, unifying heart which positions Parramatta as the central city, with Sydney as the eastern city and Western Sydney”.

SJB have been working behind the scenes with Commission to facilitate working sessions with over 30 stakeholders, with the aim of bringing their knowledge, ideas and aspirations together into an aligned future direction.

“It’s time for a change of perspective and a change in the way we all imagine Greater Sydney.”
