Ashmore Terraces

Erskineville NSW Australia

The Ashmore Terraces were developed in conjunction with the Erko project, a masterplanned urban regeneration that delivered 320 high quality dwellings across 3 stages. The project involved the rejuvenation of a 16,150 sqm former light industrial site located within the Ashmore precinct, 400 metres south of the Erskineville village and train station.

The Ashmore Terraces, stage two of the development, comprises of 16 dwellings each offering three/four bedrooms over 3 levels with an internal courtyard. The Ashmore Terraces reduce the scale of the development by creating a 3 storey northern edge that transitions to the existing low scale residential along Ashmore Street. Land parcels were approximately 130 sqm with rear lane access to a car space within the courtyard area.

The design addressed a variety of elements which relate to the connections between the public and private domains, including pedestrian access along the laneway, green internal spaces and courtyards.
