Bayside ResidenceBrighton VIC Australia
Designed for an adventurous and spirited family, the brief for the interiors of the house was to be nonconventional, organic yet still practical. Covering three floors, the house occupies most of the double site.
The residence is a wonderful study of contrasts between raw architecture and imposing bespoke furniture.
Presented unfinished, the concrete shell of the house offered soft and curved lines to work with. By neutralising and reinterpreting them in the interior, we provided privacy, enclosing each function gently in its own space.
The ground floor contains multi living, dining and kitchen areas, all of which open out to the pool. This creates a seamless interaction between these spaces.
Elegant and organic joinery was used to tone down this futuristic-style home while soft furnishings highlight the final result.
